Aynur Zeid Pasha (Rojava)

Aynur Zeid Pasha is a lawyer and a member of the Syrian Bar Association since 2001. She has been a human rights activist since 2004, working with human rights organizations in Aljazeera. She is a lecturer at the Social Justice Academy in Qamishli and has been a legal adviser to the Social Justice Council since 2016, the Center for Research and Protection of Women’s Rights since 2019, and the Women’s Council in North and East Syria.

She specializes in women’s rights, with a focus on the case of Hefrin Xelef.

Mizgeen Abdul Hamid Hassan (Rojava)

Mizgeen Mardia Abdul Hamid Hassan has been a feminist human rights activist since 2011 and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She served as the Executive Director at the Center for Research and Protection of Women’s Rights in Syria from 2019 to 2024 and is currently the Co-Chair of the Rights and Justice Commission in the Self-Administration.

She specializes in women’s rights, focusing on the case of Nadia Suleiman.

Khaled Abdulhamid İbrahim (Rojava)

Khaled Abdulhamid Ibrahim was born in 1971 in Karbatli Village, Al-Darbasiyah, Al-Hasakah. He graduated from Damascus University, Faculty of Law, in the class of 1999-2000 and has been a practicing lawyer registered with the Damascus Bar Association since 2001. Throughout his legal career, he has represented clients before State Security Courts, Military Courts, and Criminal Courts in Damascus and Aleppo, specializing in defending prisoners of conscience and Kurdish political detainees. He was a human rights activist from 2004 to 2011.

From 2012 to 2015, he was a permanent member of the Western Kurdistan Council, representing the Social Justice Council in Western Kurdistan. In 2013, he was appointed as the Head of the Social Contract Drafting Committee in the Jazira Region. From 2014 to 2016, he served as Deputy in the Justice Authority in the Jazira Region.

From 2016 to 2018, he was the Head of the Human Rights Authority in the Jazira Region and Legal Advisor to the Executive Council. From 2018 to 2021, he was the Head of the Office of Humanitarian Organizations Affairs in the Jazira Region. Since 2022, he has been a member of the Administrative Body in the Department of Foreign Relations in North and East Syria, focusing on counter-terrorism, humanitarian affairs, and diplomatic rights.

Mohammed Khair Bashir Al-Mohammed (Rojava)

Mohammed Khair Bashir Al-Mohammed is the Head of Oil and Gas Stations in Rumailan.

Akram Khalil Suleiman (Rojava)

Akram Khalil Suleiman was born in 1988 in Salhia, Hasaka, Syria.

Akram Khalil Suleiman is an experienced electrical engineer with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Tishreen University, Latakia. He has been the Director General at the Ministry of Energy in the Self-Administration since 2016, overseeing the implementation of various energy-related projects and managing procurement and logistics. Previously, he worked as an electrical engineer at the Syrian Petroleum Company in Rumailan from 2014 to 2016. 

Rubel Bahho (Rojava)

Rubel Bahho, born in 1981 in Qamishli, Syria, is a member of the Syriac Union Party and has served as the Co-Vice President of the Foreign Relations Department since 2022. Graduating in electricity in 2002, he has worked in the field, including at Qamishli International Airport. He has led the Suroyo Media Foundation since 2018 and was a lecturer for the Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro). Politically and socially active, he was arrested by the regime in 2013 and released after a year and a half.

Ruben Wagensberg Ramon (Catalonia)

Ruben Wagensberg is a human rights activist and Catalan politician. In 2016, he led the campaign “Casa nostra, casa vostra” in support of the rights of people displaced by conflicts, organizing in Barcelona the largest demonstration in history for the rights of refugees. He is currently a member of the Catalan Parliament and was the driving force behind the first official international recognition of DAANES in 2021. His ties to the Kurdish people have led him to visit Rojava on numerous occasions, where he has become politically involved in the Kurdish issue and the defense of their civil rights.

In 2023, he was politically persecuted when he was unjustly accused of terrorism by the Spanish state, forcing him to go into exile in Switzerland until 2024, when his case was dismissed. That same year, he submitted a report to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Water and Sanitation about the harm suffered by the population due to the criminal management of the Alouk Water Station by Turkey in the occupied areas.

Ibrahim Abdul Rahman Sheikho (Rojava)

Ibrahim Abdul Rahman Sheikho, BA in Law, University of Aleppo 1998, Director of the Human Rights Organization Afrin-Syria, I work in the field of monitoring and documentation, especially the violations and crimes committed against the indigenous Kurdish population in the Afrin region occupied by Turkey and the armed Syrian factions supported by Turkey (the National Army factions), and sharing files on violations and crimes with the committees affiliated with the United Nations such as the “International Commission of Inquiry – the International Impartial Mechanism – the United Nations Office for Documentation” in Beirut.

Hoshang Hassan  (Rojava)

Hoshang Hassan is a journalist and news editor with extensive experience covering events in North and East Syria. He has worked as a war correspondent, investigative reporter, and chief news editor for media outlets such as North Press Agency and Ronahi TV. His work includes reporting on political, military, and social issues, conducting interviews, gathering testimonies, and documenting stories from displaced individuals and conflict-affected communities. Additionally, he has coordinated with international journalists visiting the region, assisting with translations and logistical arrangements.
